A Few Days in Heaven

As you would imagine, when I was asked to do a story about the best spas in Cannes, I didn’t have to be asked twice. In my venture to find the perfect spa, after a tough week of body scrubs, facials, shiatsu massages, reflexology treatments, aromatherapy and flavoured waters, here’s my short list of the best spas in Cannes.

 

1. L. Raphael Beauty Spa

Located in the elegant Grand Hyatt Hotel Martinez Cannes and nestled between the sea and the sky, L. Raphael has a holistic approach to beauty, searching for harmony between mind, body and spirit in every treatment.

I began my spa experience with the L. Raphael  ritual: lemon juice detox drink enjoyed in their green private terrace. I then got the fabulous and very appropriate Anti-jetlag aromatherapy massage. A set of expert hands manually drained my lymphatic system using lavender and orange scented oils and my body and mind were brought back to life.

 

2. Spa My Blend

Located at The Majestic Barrière Cannes Hotel, this luxurious urban waterfront spa offers the most innovative treatments using products from the prestigious Clarins brand, a hammam, sauna and fitness room.  

I indulged in the “Red Carpet” treatment, which included the Tri-Active Clarins Face Treatment, a replenishing intense hydration that left my skin feeling smooth, fresh and toned, and a Hands and Feet Massage. I left the spa wearing the glow of a movie star.

 

3. Les Thermes Marins de Cannes

This thalasso and spa is the perfect peaceful escape to enhance your well-being and soothe mind, body and soul. The spa offers state-of-the-art equipment, a wonderful and knowledgeable staff and treatments that use the power of algae and sea salt to restore tired tissue.

My treatment of choice was the Energizing Amazonian Escapade. It started with a body scrub, using a deliciously scented red sea salt gel, followed by a seaweed and cocoa bean powder body wrap that stimulates circulation and relaxes the muscles at the same time. The treatment ended with an energizing and tonifying massage using Brazil nut, laminaria seaweeds and crithmum maritimum oils.

 

4. Spa Eden Roc

Located in the beautiful Hotel du Cap Eden Roc, this spa is the perfect place to nurture health and beauty. Treatments can be received in one of four elegant treatment rooms, in the hotel gardens under the shade of  a gazebo, or in one of the spa cabins along the Mediterranean. I started my day at the Eden Roc with a yoga session followed by some time in the steam room. I then enjoyed a perfect Balinese Massage, which blended Indian, Indonesian and Chinese massage techniques that left me completely relaxed.

 

5. Spa at The Terre Blanche Resort

Nestled in what reminded me of a Provencal field of lavender, the spa at the Terre Blanche allows you access to their hydro facilities, an indoor swimming pool, a sauna, hammam and laconium, before you enjoy your treatment.

My day at the spa included the Soft Satin Skin treatment, an exfoliating and energizing massage, followed by an Anti-Cellulite and Slimming Body Wrap, Using organic ingredients, the wrap stimulates metabolism and blood circulation and leaves the skin deeply moisturized, free of toxins and with a significant reduction of the appearance of cellulite.
