Maserati Grancabrio Review
Car Summary
A luxurious four-seat convertible GT, the Maserati GranCabrio is a stunning machine with incredible power and grace. Nothing beats the experience of travelling in a luxury car with the roof-down, so take the exhilarating thrill of open-top driving into your hands when you hire a Maserati GranCabrio.
Fitted with a sophisticated 4.7L, 450 bhp V8 engine, with a maximum torque of 510 Nm at 4,750 rpm, the Maserati GranCabrio is built for power and performance. It can reach an impressive top speed of 285 km/h and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds. The automatic six-speed ZF transmission includes a hydraulic torque converter for exceptionally smooth gear changes, and you can choose to drive in Auto Normal, Auto Sport, Auto ICE and Manual modes. It has a well-balanced 49:51 front-rear weight distribution to maximise traction and ensure good handling and stability, and the advanced Skyhook electronic suspension system includes aluminium gas dampers, which instantly adapt to the conditions of the road and driving style.
The Maserati Stability Program is an electronic stability control system designed to correct even the slightest side-skidding, to prevent wheel lock during braking and to stop both wheels spinning during acceleration, and the chassis remains rigid even with the top down, making for an incredibly comfortable and driveable open-top luxury car.
Sporting a distinctive fabric soft-top, the Maserati GranCabrio transforms into a stunning convertible at the touch of a button. Aerodynamic lines, short overhangs and a long engine hood give it a coupé-like feel with the roof raised, and in a wonderful example of classic modernity, the elegant cabin is hand-finished to perfection. You’ll find materials of the highest quality including handmade Poltrona Frau leather upholstery and fine wood dash, and generous space for four adults to travel in stylish luxury. The controls are ergonomically placed to give a sense of complete control, and there is a 7” screen at the centre of the dashboard for access to the Maserati Multimedia System. An advanced climate control system ensures your continued comfort with the top up or down.
This is one of the most luxurious ways to travel, so make sure you journey in style with a Maserati GranCabrio.
Reviews“The Maserati GranCabrio combines head-turning looks, breathtaking performance and a fantastic engine in one desirable package”
The Maserati GranCabrio is extremely desirable, with incredible looks and one of the greatest sounding engines on the road. The 4.7L V8, developed by Ferrari, accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just over 5 seconds and offers a ride that is comfortable and refined for four adults. The GranCabrio is a coupé, styled by Pininfarina, and is a proper grand-tourer, which despite its size feels particularly light and sporty. It has a good-looking cabin and could be considered to be one of the most elegant cars on the road, with excellent proportions and a subtle design. It is also fairly practical by convertible standards, with plenty of head and legroom and 173 L of boot space.
“ The Maserati GranCabrio is one of the best-looking four-seat convertibles in the world”
Officially, this is the first time that Maserati have produced a four-seat convertible, and in the GranCabrio they have created a stunning looking motorcar. Based on the GranTurismo, this luxury soft-top coupé has a 4.7 L V8 engine and a six-speed ZF automatic transmission, as well as front and rear double wishbone suspension and Maserati’s Skyhook adaptive dampers. It makes 0-100 km/h in 5.1 seconds and the impressive braking system is able to stop the car from 112 km/h in less than 50 m. The chassis is surprisingly rigid for a cabriolet, and Maserati have fitted springs and dampers to the base of the car to give a firmness and refinement, particularly at high speeds.
