Maserati Ghibli Review
Car Summary
With a sleek silhouette and sporty lines, the Maserati Ghibli is a glamorous sports sedan with impressive performance and incredible power. Travel in one of the finest executive cars on the road when you rent a Maserati Ghibli.
A 3.0L twin-turbo V6 engine combines a sporty performance with an improved fuel economy. It has a power output of 330 bhp at 5000 rpm, with 500 Nm of torque available between 1750-4500 rpm once you press the magic ‘Sport’ button. The Ghibli can shoot from 0-100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds and continue on to a top speed of 263 km/h. An advanced lightweight eight-speed ZF automatic transmission gives precise and accurate gear shifts, with auto-adaptive software adjusting it to the driving style and conditions on the road. Handling is superb, thanks to the Ghibli’s sophisticated suspension system, with a double wishbone front suspension and five-arm multilink rear suspension ensuring a balance between the sporty performance and ride comfort, and a hydraulic steering system giving the driver a strong sense of control, whilst remaining light and smooth at all times.
The Maserati Ghibli’s styling is unmistakable, with expertly sculpted forms and clean lines creating a dramatic sense of movement and speed. The front and rear mudguards merge into a central form, creating a dynamic line while the front is dominated by the iconic Maserati radiator grille. The tapered boot continues the dynamic lines of the cabin, with two LED lights and twin-tail exhausts underlining its sporty look. The Ghibli’s interior is exquisitely crafted, with the seats, dashboard and doors upholstered in the finest Poltrona Frau leather. The ergonomically designed leather three-spoke steering wheel holds the main multimedia controls, including a large speedometer and rpm counter, and you’ll also find a 7” TFT display screen and Premium Surround sound system for maximum cabin enjoyment. With plenty of room for five people and generous boot space, the Maserati Ghibli is the ideal executive sedan for travelling long distances in extreme comfort.
Reviews“The Maserati Ghibli combines style and quality with sharp handling to rival the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E-Class”
An executive car designed to rival the BMW 5 series and the Audi A6, the Maserati Ghibli boasts dramatic looks and sporty performance. It comes with a 3.0L twin-turbo V6 engine that produces up to 404 hp and an eight speed automatic transmission as standard. The drive is exciting, with sharp throttle responses and a typical Maserati sound emanating from the twin exhausts. Steering is fast and suspension gives a firm but sporty ride, and there are a range of safety features including seven airbags, anti-whiplash headrests and a reinforced chassis. There is a 500L boot space and five seats, making the Ghibli the ideal car for driving long distances.
“So this is Ghibli Three and it’s certainly a looker”
This is a very handsome car, built to rival the executive cars from the likes of BMW, Audi and Mercedes. The construction is similar to the Maserati Quattroporte, with the same driveline and suspension, as well as the same steel monocoque. It has double wishbone suspension and electrically adjustable dampers, as well as a brilliant ZF automatic 8-speed gearbox. The cabin is superb, with fine attention to detail and plenty of soft leather, and there is plenty of room for passengers in the front and back, as well as 500L of boot space and an 8.5” screen that provides access to the sat nav, radio and communications systems. The Ghibli is oozing glamour, and with powerful engines and great looks, it is a well-made executive car.
