The Mercedes Vito is Mercedes latest offering in the luxury van lineup. Installed with a V6 CDI diesel engines, the 9 seater minivan has enormous towing capacity of 2000 kg braked and a payload of up to 1,100 kg if all the seats have been removed.
Exceptionally flexible and versatile, the Vito is able to be adapted to suit almost every need and circumstance with great simplicity. Each of the minivans in the Vito range allows for different configurations, making itself the prime candidate for a diverse range of transport needs and loading scenarios. Whether you want to commute that basket ball team or transport a stock of materials from one city to the next, the new Vito will allow you to get the job done with efficiency, reliability and comfort.
The ergonomical design of the Vito, ensures that drivers and passengers alike feel comfortable throughout the entire course of a journey in the luxury van. The generously apportioned cockpit has a driver orientation that has all controls and function easily in reach. While the vehicle’s entire high quality fittings with comfortable fabrics and sharp detail finishes make it the ideal transportation vehicle for any trip. Features include state-of-the-art telematics generation with Media Interface that includes iPod, USB and Aux cables. Power-assist steering comes as standard while there is an optional addition for a reverse camera.
Reviews“Unlike most other 9-seaters in the market, the Vito is rear-wheel drive, which ensures more stable and predictable handling”.
The Mercedes Vito Traveliner is built with a 116 hp/290 Nm of torque supplied by the 2.1 CDi engine that delivers ample power and a very smooth ride with minimal road noise. Other impressive features that come standard with the Mercedes Mini Van include the rear tailgate, adaptive ESP, the ASSYST service interval indicator, and a powerful 5 speed ventilation system with an air duct in the back. A feature that we thought was particularly useful was the dashboard mounted headlight switch, that helps drivers to select which sidelights to use whilst parking at the side of the road, to best preserve the battery charge.
“The latest Mercedes Vito aims to add affordability while maintaining its three-pointed star superiority”
While the Mercedes Vito has always enjoyed the reputation that comes with being a strong quality vehicle, the latest Vito in this lineup has successfully retained this image as well as being imbued with additional assets. As a rear two-wheel-drive it has been installed with a a pair of advanced CDI diesel engines, a 1.6-litre unit sourced for the 4WD models and a 2.1-litre that powers the RWD range. The focus on the two wheel drive has been motivated by cost, as the Mercedes mid-sized van has a reputation for putting a heavy demand on maintenance as opposed to its prime competitors in other brands. The more fuel efficient 2 wheel drive helps to close the gap in the car’s economy.
