It includes a 3.0L turbo-diesel engine, a range of Land Rover safety features and a ‘wade-sensor’ that uses the satnav screen to display the depth of water you have driven into. Inside the cabin the driver has a commanding driving position and there is plenty of room for seven adults. Even with a heavy load, the Land Rover Discovery never feels underpowered, and the harmony between the 8-speed automatic transmission and the turbo-diesel engine helps this large machine to make 0-100 km/h in an impressive 8.8 seconds.
