Range Rover Autobiography Review

By Mark Aria - Lifestyle Adventurist and Adrenaline Junkie

Car Summary

Hire a Range Rover Autobiography V8 supercharged 4x4 to experience the incredible power and abilities of this iconic SUV. Beautifully refined, well appointed and immensely luxurious, the Range Rover Autobiography V8 Supercharged takes off-roading adventures to an entirely new level.

The Range Rover Autobiography is the most capable and refined Land Rover ever built. With an incredible 510 bhp 5.0L V8 supercharged engine, this model hits 0-100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds, continues to a top speed of 225 km/h and tackles tough terrain like nothing else.

The body is built from lightweight aluminium for a significant weight reduction and advanced technology helps to deliver incredible performance in all conditions. Land Rover Terrain Response optimises vehicle settings to cope with any terrain, while four-corner air-suspension ensures excellent wheel articulation. Adaptive Dynamics with variable dampers delivers optimum control and composure, whilst Dynamic Response reduces body lean on cornering.

Range Rover’s intelligent 4WD provides maximum grip on the road, and whether you find yourself half way up a mountain or driving through city traffic, you can’t help but feel at home driving a Range Rover Autobiography.

Range Rover’s Command Driving Position gives drivers the best possible view of the road, and controls are conveniently placed within easy reach. A raft of safety features, including Blind Spot Monitor, Closing Vehicle Sensing and Reverse Traffic Detection are designed to reduce the chance of a collision, and Adaptive Cruise Control and Queue Assist help to control speed and distance within traffic flows. Parallel Parking and Park Distance Control systems are included to make parking this large SUV easier.

The Range Rover Autobiography is unmistakable in its design, with a strong, streamlined silhouette and a panoramic sunroof that gives a sense of space and light. Soft, supple leathers and wood veneers adorn the cabin, and driver and passengers can enjoy the luxury and comfort of a five-programme massage seat, a Meridian Surround Sound System and an 8 inch high resolution touch-screen infotainment system.

With 909 L of cargo space, comfortable seating for four adults and a towing capacity of 3.500 kg the Range Rover Autobiography V8 Supercharged is hard to beat.

“Excellent off-road ability, big power and unprecedented levels of luxury make the Range Rover a worthy rival to any luxury saloon”

Defining the luxury SUV sector, the Range Rover offers refinement, quality and immense off-road capabilities, and the range topping Autobiography comes with an abundance of high-tech system on board, including various adjustable driving modes and driving aids. The cabin is fitted out with soft, sumptuous leather, a panoramic roof, heated steering wheel and a beautiful dashboard with well-placed controls. The drive is impressively quiet and refined, with an eight-speed automatic transmission giving smooth gear changes. This is also one of the safest and most practical luxury SUVs on the road, with 909 L of cargo space and 3500 kg towing power. Large in size, luxury and power, the Range Rover Autobiography makes quite a statement.

“One of the best luxury cars money can buy: this really is a bit of an all-round superstar”

Bigger yet lighter than previous Range Rover models, the range topping Range Rover Autobiography is built with an aluminium monocoque that makes it faster, lighter and more efficient to drive. Steering is fluid, body control is excellent and the active lean software gives it a limousine-like ride quality. Driving on road is relaxed, while off-road the capabilities of this large 4x4 are astonishing. The interior is refined, with a good range of multimedia options and executive seating. Finished to the highest quality, the Range Rover easily rivals the Mercedes S Class and the BMW 7-series as a prestigious luxury car.
