A 2.0L TD4 Diesel engine, with an output of 180 bhp and 430 Nm of torque, is paired with a six-speed manual transmission to deliver an outstanding level of performance and a good fuel economy. The engine is built with lightweight aluminium to reduce friction, delivering an exceptionally smooth and efficient ride no matter the terrain, and the drive is confident and responsive, with innovative technologies such as Terrain Response integrating the engine, gearbox and chassis systems to maximise traction, drivability and comfort.

The Land Rover Discovery Sport is a luxurious compact SUV to rival the Audi Q5 and the BMW X3. It has a versatile seven-seat layout, and gives a sporty yet composed feel on the road, and a particularly refined drive. Suspension has a firm edge at low speed, coming into its own as you gather speed to take bumps and potholes with ease. It is agile and alert on corners, has precise and direct steering and allows you to drive with confidence. The body is solid and stable, and there is plenty of grip on the road, thanks to the clever Terrain Response system.

With two more seats that the Freelander, the Land Rover Discovery Sport is a practical compact SUV. It drives well on and off-road, and is fitted with a 2.2L TDI engine that produces 310 lb ft of torque and hits 0-100 km/h in under 9 seconds. You can choose a six-speed manual gearbox or a nine-speed automatic gearbox, and an entry level SE trim, an SE Tech, the HSE or the range topping HSE Luxury.
