Car Summary
The BMW X3 is an immensely capable luxury SUV that takes off-roading adventures to a whole new level. Hire a BMW X3 and find out what makes this Sports Activity Vehicle one of the best in its class.
The BMW X3 xDrive 20d SE comes with a 2.0L diesel engine, with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology and common rail direct injection coming together to give a remarkable performance and a good fuel economy. It achieves a maximum speed of 209 km/h, can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8.1 seconds and has low fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, with BMW’s BluePerformance system enabling it to comply with EU6 emission standards.
The BMW X3 is a versatile and flexible SAV, providing plenty of agility for city driving whilst remaining stable and controlled at high speeds. Its intelligent xDrive four-wheel-drive system with fully variable torque-split is designed to optimise traction in all conditions, whilst the Dynamic Damper Control allows you to adapt the chassis to suit your own preferred driving style. BMW Performance Control ensures extra control when turning, as well as allowing drivers to choose between Comfort, ECO PRO or Sport modes, while the Variable Sport Steering with Servotronic improves handling on sharp corners and allows for a direct and agile drive. There is also a raft of innovative technologies to help you on your way, including Drive Assist with Lane Departure Warning, BMW’s Professional sat-nav system and Parking Assist.
The BMW X3 is a remarkably flexible car and suited to a range of driving situations. The high-quality interior is beautifully finished, offering generous luggage space and comfortable seating, whilst the driver orientated cockpit gives an elevated seating position and intuitively placed instrument panel. The exterior reflects its sporting abilities, with a wide bumper and large air inlets, a double kidney grille, 17” alloy wheels and distinctive Xenon headlights with LED running lights. The silhouette is instantly recognisable as a BMW X3, and whether you are looking for a smart family car for city driving or a powerful and capable off-roader, the 4x4 BMW X3 is the luxury car for you.
Reviews“The BMW X3 is an extremely capable SUV with a roomy interior, efficient engines and a great driving experience”
The BMW X3 is instantly recognisable, with BMW’s trademark kidney shaped grille and twin circular headlights. It is chunky and rugged on the outside, whilst the inside is thoughtfully laid out with a wraparound dashboard design and top-quality materials. It handles brilliantly, with incredible agility and poise, and the xDrive 4WD system gives impressive grip and traction both on and off-road. It feels agile and involved in corners, steering is well weighted and direct and the body movement is brilliantly controlled. BMW’s Drive Performance Control alters the car’s throttle response and steering weight to suit your driving style and the conditions of the road, and with generous passenger and luggage space it is a hugely versatile and practical 4x4 SUV.
“The BMW X3 is one of the best cars in its class. It’s classy, practical and good to drive. The engines are efficient, too, and standard kit is generous.”
There are two 2.0L four cylinder diesel engines and two 3.0L six-cylinder engines, with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission. Steering is nicely weighted, handling is good and the ride is smooth and firm. There is plenty of space for four large adults, the boot space is large and the back seats can be split 60/40 for further space. There is a lot of equipment, including leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, cruise control and sat nav, as well as BMW’s iDrive infotainment system to keep you connected and entertained at all times.
