BMW M3 Review

By Stephanie Anderson - Lifestyle Writer and Fashion Addict

Car Summary

The brilliant BMW M3 is a high performance version of BMW’s compact executive car. This sporty saloon is one of BMW’s most popular luxury cars, and hiring a BMW M3 guarantees an incredible ride in executive comfort.

The 3.0l M TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder engine makes 431 bhp, revs at 7,600 rpm and has a maximum 550 Nm torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds and hits a top speed of 250 km/h. BMW’s Active M Differential is designed to optimise traction and stability, whilst the Adaptive M suspension has electronically controlled shock absorbers that constantly adjust to the road conditions and driving style to optimise road contact in all conditions. The M Carbon Ceramic Brake System provides unrivalled stopping power, the M Servotronic power steering automatically adjusts to the vehicle’s speed and the 7-speed M dual-clutch transmission with Drivelogic is specifically designed to match the high-revving BMW M engine.

There is a range of driving assist programmes, including a full-colour BMW Head-Up Display navigation system, a Driving Assistant that includes a Lane Departure Warning and City Brake Activation, as well as a Parking Assistant and Active Protection. The BMW M3 was designed for maximum performance, with an athletic design including large front air inlets, aerodynamically optimised M exterior mirrors and eye-catching wheels.

The exclusive cockpit is ergonomically designed for comfort and safety, with M-Sports seats and dual zone climate control, as well as Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, sat-nav and an 8.8-inch display screen. For luxurious comfort and impressive performance, the BMW M3 Sedan really is one of the best executive cars on the road right now.

“The M3 is a legend in the world of performance cars, giving enthusiasts reason to speak in gushing superlatives whenever given the chance”

A twin-turbo 3.0 litre inline-six engine makes 425 bhp and 406 lb-ft of torque and is mated to a seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. The M3 delivers an incredible performance, with nine chassis settings - three each for the powertrain, suspension and steering – ensuring a dynamic drive. The M3 benefits from superb brakes, responsive steering and good grip, and with incredible speed and brilliant dynamics it is one of the best cars on the road today.

“The 2015 BMW M3 is nothing less than a world-class high-performance sport sedan.”

The M3 set the standard for bringing the power and speed of a high performance sports car into the comfort and luxury of an entry-level sedan. The M3 is a four-door sedan with a turbocharged inline-6 engine that produces 425 bhp and makes an incredible sound. It boasts an increased power output of 406lb ft of torque and better fuel economy, and with M-spec 18” alloy wheels, aluminium suspension and six-piston carbon-ceramic brakes, the BMW M3 is built for speed. The cabin is luxurious, with 10-way power front seats, fold-down rear seats, dual-zone climate control and Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity. The M3 has gained much praise across the board and with impressive handling and high quality finish, the BMW M3 certainly deserves it.

“Of course, there's few new wrinkles this time around, as the M3 incorporates a host of new high-tech features and lightweight components”

In the production of the M3 sedan, BMW continues to apply its tried and true formula of starting with a standard 3 series model, add more power, a more dynamic chassis and a unique twist in styling… and voila. There you have the 2016 BMW M3 sedan already causing waves before it has hardly hit the tarmac. The latest model has been downsized to a 3.0 liter inline V6 that draws its supply of power from twin turbochargers to deliver 425 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque from just 1,850 rpm all the way to a max of 5,500 rpm. There are two options for transmission, either a 6 speed manual or a 7 speed dual clutch automatic, the stick shift features a downshift function, that jump starts a great revving power allowing a 0 to 100 km/h sprint in just 4.1 seconds. With a good fuel economy count on both transmissions and features that include compound brakes, hydraulic assist steering and an active M differential that all comes standard, the BMW M3 sedan just does not make a wrong turn.
