Milan is a grand Italian city that is immensely rich in its religious history, culture and architecture. Considering the immense religious significance of Rome and the Vatican, it may come as quite a surprise that Milan is home to some of the oldest churches in Italy, largely due to the fact that Milan was capital of the Northern part of the late Roman Empire. With all the numerous churches, cathedrals and basilicas, Milan, in fact has more ancient and monumental churchees than any other European city outside of Italy. Rent the high performance Maserati Ghibli in Milan for a tour of Italy’s most important and impressive churches.
The Maserati Ghibli with its sleek silhouette and yet athletic build, manages to pull off a drive of refined elegance wherever it goes. The luxury executive car is designed with a 3.0L twin turbo V6, that despite its rush of power that delivers a satisfyingly athletic performance, it still retains excellent standards of fuel economy. At the magic press of the “sport” function the car will achieve 1750-4500 rpm as it produces 500 Nm of torque. The Ghibli achieves feats of speed as it pushes a maximum acceleration of 263 km/h and makes a 0-100 km/h sprint in 5.7 seconds. Features incorporated by the design team at Maserati include an advanced eight speed ZF automatic lightweight transmission that give satisfyingly precise gear shift changes and auto adaptive software that adjusts to variable driving styles.
A first port of call to see Milan’s many grand cathedrals is of course the Duomo. An enormous structure dedicated to the Divine. The construction of this grand late Gothic church commenced as early as 1386 with hundreds of spires and detailed with thousands of statues spread the full length around the famous façade of its exterior. Many tourists take the chance to climb to the Duomo’s enormous roof top where they are able to enjoy spectacular view of the city between the Gothic spires. From there travel to Piazza Sant'ambrogio to see Saint Ambrose and its Lombard Romanesque style of architecture or the church come museum of Sant'Eustorgio and the Portinari Chapel that is found in Navigli.
