Mini Countryman Review
A dapper Mini Countryman is the luxury car for those who enjoy something a little different. This distinctive looking vehicle is Mini by name but not by size, and with four doors, five seats and plenty of cargo space, hiring a Mini Countryman is no compromise.
The Mini Countryman is powered by a 1.6L16-valve, twin-turbocharged engine that produces 187bhp, reaches 0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds and hits a top speed of 205 km/h. It comes with a 6 speed manual transmission and electric speed sensitive variable power assisted steering.
Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) is included for brilliant handling and control and Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) ensures excellent grip on the road. Performance suspension and a Sport button with accelerator add a bit of fun to your driving, whilst its sporty design, alloy wheels and sculpted headlights ensure the Mini Countryman strikes a powerful pose on the road.
The Mini Countryman has been awarded a five-star rating in Euro NCAP safety tests, with safety features including seven airbags, side impact door beams and a crash sensor that automatically unlocks doors and turns on lights in the event of a crash.
The cabin is ergonomically designed with an excellent driving position, as well as a luxurious three-spoke leather sports steering wheel and six-way adjustable sports seats. The onboard computer ensures you stay informed and connected at all times, and a large speedometer is a key feature at the centre of the dashboard.
With sporty styling and a high degree of comfort, the Mini Countryman occupies a unique position as a compact car ideal for city driving, and a powerful, comfortable and spacious auto perfect for travelling long distances.Reviews
“The MINI Countryman is a quirky looking, fun to drive SUV”
Keeping the looks of the Mini hatchback, the Mini Countryman adds five-door SUV styling and a good selection of technology, including MP3 compatibility, digital radio and rear parking sensors. It has a distinctive look, with alloy wheels and sports styling, whilst the drive is particularly comfortable, with supple suspension soaking up bumps on the road. The Countryman offers a high degree of practicality, with a large boot space and plenty of room for four adults. The seats are comfortable and supportive and there is a high driving position for great visibility. The cabin looks good too; the familiar oversized Mini central speedometer and rev counter, as well as stylish dark grey dials and chrome air vent nozzles add a touch of quality.
“The 2014 MINI Countryman puts the brand's fun-to-drive spirit into the body of a versatile compact crossover.”
The Mini Cooper Countryman is Mini’s largest car; a five-door compact crossover SUV with plenty of style, power and practicality. There is generous cargo space and a good set of safety features, as well as the quirky styling that appeals to a young and fashionable crowd. The 1.6L four-cylinder engine is turbocharged, makes181 bhp and achieves 0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds, and is mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The Mini Countryman Cooper S trim adds a sporty feel to this light and nimble car that is fun to drive wherever you are.
