Mini Paceman Review
Car Summary
Rent a Mini Paceman for an enjoyable drive in a unique Sports Activity coupé. Athletic, elegant and with a stylish edge, the Mini Paceman takes its place between the Mini Countryman and the Mini coupé, and is proving to be one of the most desirable cars on the road.
The Mini Paceman doesn’t just look good; it drives well too. This is a powerful road racer with a twin-scroll 1.6 L turbocharged engine that produces 190 bhp, makes 0-100 km/h in 7.4 seconds and hits a top speed of 220 km/h. It is uniquely proportioned, with good ground clearance and a semi-command sitting position. Lowered suspension means it is brilliant at taking corners, and hydraulically assisted steering ensures excellent control and handling. It comes with a raft of safety features including Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and an Antilock Braking System (ABS). There are also dynamic braking lights, electronic braking force distribution and an automatic cut-off system that turns off the engine in the event of a collision. Designed for a sporty and dynamic drive, you’ll find you can comfortably push the Mini Paceman to its limits.
With stylish good looks and a sporting silhouette, this is a Mini that stands out from the crowd and commands attention. Elongated doors, a sloping roofline and raised shoulders, as well as 17” alloy wheels, a large black hexagonal air intake and wide-set headlights emphasise its athletic abilities, whilst double chrome exhaust pipes and a rear bumper complete the sporting look brilliantly. In the cabin you’ll find four genuine adult sports seats fitted as standard, as well as a three-spoke leather steering wheel with shift paddles, climate control and a CD player with MP3 compatibility. There is also an impressive 330 litres of boot space, extending to 1080 litres with the rear seats folded. You don’t have to make any compromises on style, space or comfort when you drive a Mini Paceman.
Reviews“The MINI Paceman mixes MINI Countryman practicality with a bit of MINI coupé style to good effect”
The Mini Paceman is aimed at those who want a stylish car with a dynamic drive, but still need a decent sized boot. The styling at the front is the same as the Mini Countryman, but at the rear, you will notice the sloping roofline and bulging wheel arches, as well as a beltline around the boot-lid and horizontal taillights. The Paceman rides higher than other Mini’s, but it still feels sporty, steering is sharp and responsive and traction is good. Maximum boot space is 1080 litres, and there are four individual seats that can genuinely seat four adults.
“It’s a three-door coupé-styled soft-roader… and is designed with a sloping roof just like the highly successful Range Rover Evoque”
This is a coupé with the practicality of a hatchback, with four seats and 330 litres of storage space, increasing to 1080 litres with the rear seats folded. It has quick and responsive handling and steering, and lowered suspension that makes it incredibly fun to drive. It is fitted with a brilliant 1.6 litre 184 hp petrol engine in the Cooper S model, which gets you from 0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds and to a top speed of 135mph, and a range of safety features including Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and Electronic Differential Lock Control (EDLC). The Mini Cooper S Paceman is a fun to drive car offering comfort, practicality and plenty of enjoyment.
