Passenger comfort is at a premium, with heated seats and leather upholstery, and you’ll find DAB digital reception, Bluetooth Mobile Phone Interface, Driver Information System (DIS) and deluxe 3-zone climate control in all models. Audi’s MMI Navigation System Plus helps you to find your way whilst the Electronic Stability Programme contributes to the Audi A5 Sportback’s excellent control on the road.

The latest Turbo-charged Direct Injection (Tdi) and Turbo Fuel Stratified Injection (TFSI) technology is available in both petrol and diesel engines, and automatic start-stop and brake recuperation for optimised fuel efficiency is standard.

This is a good-looking hatchback with plenty of space and practicality, including an impressive 480-litre boot. It is calm and comfortable on the road, with cruise control and climate control as standard, and a strong range of diesel and petrol engines.

“It’s mighty difficult to criticise the A5 Sportback”.

The five-door hatchback continues Audi’s strategy of dominating the ‘Big Fast Car’ market. Basically the same as the Audi A4 Saloon, the A5 Sportback devastatingly fast in an understated way, with a supercharged V6 engine providing 328 bhp to all four wheels, and impressive fuel-efficiency. The seven-speed DSG is awesome and the Sportback feels very assured on the road.
