Audi TT Roadster Review
Car Summary
Sharp, powerful and responsive, the Audi TT Roadster is a first class luxury cabriolet. Retaining the classic lines and curves of the Audi TT coupé, the Audi TT Roadster is crammed full of Audi’s latest technological innovations.
Fitted with a powerful 2.0L TFSI petrol engine that produces 230 bhp and a six-speed S-tronic automatic gearbox, it accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 249 km/h. Audi’s Quattro four-wheel drive is available for additional grip and keen responsiveness, and the automatic acoustic soft-top retracts effortlessly at 49 km/h.
The highest quality materials are used throughout, with leather upholstery, sports seats and Audi’s Virtual Cockpit ensuring driver and passenger comfort. A 12.3inch digital screen located behind the steering wheel includes Audi’s MMI Navigation Plus and ‘infotainment’ system, as well as Audi Connect 4G Internet.
Deluxe climate control modifies air temperature in the cabin, while Bang and Olufsen speakers provide high definition surround sound. 18-inch alloy wheels are standard and Xenon LED headlights are available in the Sport trim.
The green credentials of the Audi TT Roadster are impressive, with the convertible achieving 67.3mpg. Audi’s innovative aluminium and steel ‘space frame technology’ ensures that the Audi TT Roadster is much lighter than previous models, whilst Audi’s ‘ultra’ technology contributes to fuel efficiency. Experience the best of Audi when you hire an Audi TT Roadster.
Reviews“The TT is a really good car, period”
The part-aluminium body is surprisingly good in the convertible version of the Audi TT, maintaining strength and rigidity even with the top down. The Audi TT Roadster is much lighter than most convertibles and the soft top is brilliant. Less is more when it comes to a cabriolet hood and the soft-top looks cleaner, can open fully when the boot is full and drops in just twelve seconds. The cabin is delightful whilst the drive is smooth and controlled.
“Those after a handsome and fun-to-drive convertible should certainly consider the new Audi TT Roadster”
The premium Audi TT Roadster beats its competitors hands down in price, fuel economy and performance. It is one of the best looking cabriolets on the road and its soft-top retracts in just over 10 seconds. The Audi TT Roadster feels fast and agile, and with four-wheel drive you’ll find plenty of grip and excellent stability. Refinement is good with the hood up, whilst the 6-speed S-tronic gearbox allows for swift and precise gear changes.
