Audi TT Coupé Review
Car Summary
Taking the luxury coupé to a new level, the legendary Audi TT is now in its third generation. Embracing a revolutionary design and advanced technology, the Audi TT Coupé is lighter, more agile and more responsive than previous models, and renting an Audi TT Coupé rewards drivers with a thrilling ride in an outstanding sports car.
A 2.0 TFSI Quattro engine produces 226 bhp and is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration is responsive and Audi’s renowned all-wheel-drive Quattro system gives more traction and grip on the road, whilst Audi ultra technology increases fuel efficiencies and power. Furthermore the Audi Space Frame technology makes a 50 kg weight saving, resulting in increased agility. The classic TT coupé design is retained in the new Audi TT Coupé, though it is sharper and more dynamic, with a wider and more imposing stance. It includes a broad grille at the front, angular headlights and a concealed spoiler that rises when you travel at speeds over 119 km/h, as well as LED headlights adapt automatically to the surroundings, dipping to prevent dazzle and providing a wider range of visibility.
Audi have paid meticulous attention to detail in the cabin, with sleek lines and high quality materials. Audi’s Virtual Cockpit, located directly behind the steering wheel, displays the driver information, including the sat-nav, speedometer, rev counter and the infotainment system, on a 12.3” digital screen, which can be controlled by the multi-function sport steering wheel.
You’ll also find Audi Connect for access to the Internet wherever you travel. The sports seats are covered with the finest Alcantara leather, and there is generous space for four adults to travel in luxurious comfort. Stunning on the inside and out, the Audi TT Coupé is as stylish as it has ever been.
Reviews“Audi's TT Coupé offers sportscar thrills married to traditional Audi quality and design”
The Audi TT always manages to cause a stir, and the third generation Audi TT is still able to impress with beautiful styling and innovative technology. You can choose the Sport or S line trims, with the petrol 227 bhp 2.0L TFSI engine with quattro mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. It is super lightweight despite having a slightly longer wheelbase than previous models, and it is fitted with stylish 18” alloy wheels and bi-xenon headlights. The Audi TT has always combined sports car thrills with the ease of everyday driving, and offers an engaging and responsive driving experience.
“Audi’s TT has carved out a niche all of its own in the mainstream coupé heartland.”
The latest Audi TT uses the revered MQB architecture that is found across Volkswagen’s mid-range vehicles. Whilst stretching the TT’s wheelbase by 37 mm, the new frame manages to leave the whole car shorter and narrower than previous models. The aluminium body is stylish and sporty, the drive feels incredibly quick and the handling is great. The cabin is gorgeous, with sports seats covered in leather and a 12.3” TFT digital screen, and it is also proves to be a practical sports car, with 305 L of boot space and plenty of comfort.
