The TDI injection system precisely controls the amount of fuel going to the engine for significantly lower emissions, whilst the automatic Start-Stop reduces CO2 emissions and fuel consumption by turning off the engine when the car has come to a standstill, restarting as soon as you touch the clutch. In addition, the recuperation system further maximises fuel efficiencies by converting kinetic energy produced through braking into electrical energy, which can be stored in the battery and used to aid acceleration.

The engine is paired with an advanced multitronic automatic transmission that translates your driving style into road performance, giving a smooth and powerful acceleration whilst rewarding drivers with incredible comfort and control. The interior is superb and finished to the highest level of detail. The Audi A5 Cabriolet is an elegant yet understated four-seat convertible, blending sharp design with good performance and impressive fuel efficiencies. It has a ‘retro’ fabric roof, which stows away neatly and allows the cabin to remain impressively quiet, even at high speeds. The 2.0TDI engine is powerful and satisfying, and the A5 gives good grip when cornering as well as a firm and stable ride. It is an incredibly safe vehicle too, with stability control, front and side airbags and roll bars behind the rear seats. The roof can be retracted or raised in 15 seconds and at a speed of 48 km/h, and the generous boot space ensures you and your passengers can travel in comfort.

Although the Audi A5 is handsome as both a coupe and a soft-top convertible, the Audi A5 Cabriolet is really the star of the range. The striking cabin and sharp design, as well as the high level of finish ensure you will enjoy the A5. It comes with a powerful TFSI or TDI engine, and boasts and impressive fuel economy. The ride and handling are tuned for comfort, and you can programme the steering, suspension, throttle and transmission for a more aggressive drive. Cabin space is generous, with rear seating and good storage space, and there is a wealth of safety features including front and side airbags, traction and stability control and anti-lock brakes. The well-insulated fabric soft top can be dropped in no time at all, and can be raised in a matter of seconds to ensure you don’t get caught in a sudden rain shower.
