Porsche Cayenne S Review
Car Summary
Bringing Porsche’s enthusiasm for the sports car to a five-door family car, a Porsche Cayenne S rental is ideal for everyday driving. With dynamic performance, luxurious comfort and a raft of intelligent driver assist programmes, the mid-size luxury crossover Porsche Cayenne S excels on every level.
The quality and power of the Cayenne is clearly reflected in the design, with sharp and sophisticated rear and front sections. The front wings, bonnet and headlights contribute to its athletic and muscular stance. The 3.6L twin-turbo V6 engine gives enhanced power and greater fuel economy without compromise, and the 8-speed Tiptronic S transmission lowers fuel consumption whilst increasing dynamic agility and comfort, automatically adapting to your driving style.
The lightweight Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) system enhance performance and contribute to the Cayenne’s impressive fuel economy, while the steel-spring suspension enables excellent performance and off-road capabilities.
Porsche Traction Management System (PTM) includes an all-wheel drive system with an electronically variable multi-plate clutch, anti-slip regulation (ASR) and automatic brake differential (ABD). Off-road, you can choose one of up to three modes that respond to the different road conditions for greater traction and grip on the road. Porsche Stability Management (PSM) helps to stabilise the car even in the most hazardous of conditions and you’ll find the ride comfortable both on and off-road, even on long distances.
Your comfort is enhanced by sports seats and plenty of passenger space and storage, as well as Porsche Communication Management (PCM), which provides infotainment via the central control system and the CDR audio system with 7-inch colour touch screen.
Reviews“A lesson in technical brilliance, the Cayenne handles deftly and has a much improved cabin”
Although we don’t want to admit it, the Porsche Cayenne is good. It has brilliant off-road capabilities, and it really comes into its own on the road. It handles its size with athleticism, and is capable of impressive speed, excellent steering and precise handling. The interior is of exceptional Porsche quality, and benefits from the same layout as the Porsche Panamera.
“The Porsche Cayenne may anger purists, but it's the most versatile Porsche you can buy”
As the world’s first true performance SUV, the Porsche Cayenne proves to be one of the best 4x4 cars on the road. The Porsche Cayenne is as good on the road as it is off-road, and is capable of giving some genuine sports cars a run for their money. It has evolved into a stylish vehicle, with a wealth of classic Porsche features, and the interior feels unmistakably sports car like. Driving also feels like a sports car, and performance, grip and composure are impressive.
