Stylistically, the Panamera is typically Porsche, with muscular wings and a roofline that tapers down to the rear. Its performance capabilities are typical of Porsche too, with an impressive 300 hp 3.0-litre turbo diesel V6 DFI engine mated to an 8-speed Tiptronic S transmission, which automatically adapts to your driving style. The Panamera Diesel accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.0 seconds and its top speed is 294 km/h.

This is a luxury car with an impressive fuel economy; an automatic start/stop system switches off the engine when you stop and restarts it when you release the brakes, a coasting system decouples the engine from the transmission to prevent deceleration when the engine brakes and a DFI (Direct Fuel Injection) system helps to deliver more output whilst enhancing engine efficiency.

Steering is precise and direct, and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) actively adjusts the damping force on each wheel depending on road conditions and driving style. Adaptive Air Suspension, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) and Porsche Stability Management (PSM) contribute to enhanced driving dynamics, stability and comfort, while the lightweight super-strength steel and aluminium body contributes to a lower weight and increased rigidity for safety.

The interior offers an exceptional degree of comfort with automatic climate control, four fully independent seats and a generous 445 L of luggage space, whilst the ergonomically designed cockpit with five round instruments, high-resolution colour display and well-placed controls makes for an incredible driving experience, ideal for long distance journeys.

“The Panamera is highly effective in mixing a sportscar with a luxury saloon”

 

Germany’s answer to the Maserati Quattroporte is an amazing drive on the open road. It has immense grip, stability and accurate steering. Suspension is great, and the car remains supple on the straight road and firm on bends, even with four people on board. You’ll find plenty of space in this four-seater, with the seating positioned low for enhanced comfort and safety at high speeds. The Porsche Panamera Diesel is as luxurious as one would expect from a Porsche and it offers impressive versatility, with folding rear seats that increase the luggage capacity from 445 to 1250 litres.
