Producing 258 bhp at 4,000 rpm, and 580 Nm of torque, the Porsche Cayenne Diesel drives plenty of power to the road, and with CO2 emissions of 42.8 mpg and 173 g/km it is cleaner and greener than many of its rivals. Piezoelectric injectors ensure an optimum distribution of air and fuel for improved dynamics, whilst Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG) generates impressive torque, even at low engine speeds. It can make 0-100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds and keeps on going to an incredible 221 km/h, and the engine is paired with a fine 8-speed Tiptronic S, with gearshift controls on the steering wheel for ease of use and an extended automatic start/stop function that cuts the engine when not in motion to reduce fuel consumption.
Porsche Traction Management (PTM) is included in the Cayenne Diesel, splitting torque between the front and rear wheels to enhance steering precision and driving dynamics. The sporty abilities of the Porsche Cayenne Diesel are reflected in its design, with a new bonnet, front wings, headlights and modified air intakes, as well as its sharp looking contours, 21” wheels and daytime LED running lights to emphasise its sports car character.
