In evocative style blend the old with the new, when you hire a supercar in Basel to explore the wealth of history that is found in the city’s old town. Basel’s Old Town extends from the area between the Basel Zoo (near the SBB train station) and the river Rhine. Cluttered with museums, cafes, shops and restaurants, this precinct is not surprisingly a favourite amongst Basel’s lucky visitors. Make the most of a lovely day out in the center of Basel, with a supercar hire and a love for all things past and present.
Our selection of Supercar rentals in Basel are premium and highly prestigious. Make an online booking today for example, for the Lamborghini Aventador and have a ridiculously exhilarating car waiting for you to take off as soon as you arrive in the city. The Aventador hosts an immense 6.5L V12 engine and a highly desirable external design which combined make it a most impressive supercar. Alternatively you may want to go with the Lamborghini Huracán for an extreme and exhilarating supercar driving experience. Head out on Basel’s inter city highways with all the power provided from a 5.2 L V10 engine that without question makes it one of the most thrilling supercars on the road.
One of the most fascinating landmarks within the Old town is most certainly the Münster and the Pfalz. For a day’s outing rent the Ferrari 458 Spider and take a drive over cobblestone streets and alleyways into the old town. From there you will have access to the beautiful Cathedral square, which has the Münster in pride of place. Built between 1019-1500 in the characteristic Romanesque and Gothic style of the time, it provides a fascinating experience into the depths of European history.
One of its highlights include the Galluspforte (Gallus portal) which is positioned on the western façade, it is considered to be the most important sculptural work in Switzerland. The southern facade of the Cathedral features numerous Romanesque figures that lend the building so much character, such as St George slaying a dragon. The interior hosts a lectern that is beautifully carved out of sandstone and a crypt whose tombs are believed to hold the early bishops of Basel. During your visit there is also the option to climb either the St Martin’s or St George towers. Either one, will reward you with marvelous views of the entire city and extend as far out as Alsace and the Black Forest in the far off distance.
