Sports Car Hire in Basel

A City for Artists

Stephanie Anderson - Lifestyle Writer and Fashion Addict

A city full of artists, art lovers and art beholders, this is a city bursting with museums, that range from the classical era, the renaissance to our own contemporary era, as the works attempt to depict our modern age. For your visit to Basel, hire a sports car and embrace your own sense of creative expression with that of the city’s.

Whether you are visiting Basel for business or pleasure, try to take some time out of your busy schedule, to visit some of the city’s widely acclaimed museums.

For a day out why not hire the Porsche Cayman, an extraordinary mid-engine sports car with a 3.4-litre flat-six DFI engine and 6-speed manual transmission and visit the Kunstmuseum Basel. This world renowned art museum hosts a leading collection of permanent 19th and 20th century works (such as an entire room filled with masterworks by Picasso). However the museum also hosts an extensive collection of medieval and renaissance paintings from European artists in the likes of Switzerland’s most prominent, Hans Baldung Grien and Hans Holbein. In a nearby building is also the Museum für Gegenwartskunst, which has its focus on contemporary art and will present you with a must-see collection, particularly if you are an art lover.

However another landmark museum in Basel is the Fondation Beyeler, for a day’s excursion rent the formidable BMW M5 sports car or the highly desirable Aston Martin V8 Vantage S Roadster, a sports car that doesn’t understand the meaning of the world ‘limitation’. The Fondation Beyeler located on Baselstrasse, is a wonderfully elegant museum that was designed by the Italian architect Renzo Piano. The museum’s preeminent collection includes reads like a who’s who of 19th century European art as pieces will be found by Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso, Mark Rothko, Vincent Van Gogh and many more.
