Finding your Zurich Niche

Off the beaten track there are still so many things to do in Zurich driving the luxury Porsche 718 Boxster rental. Our creative designer friend Elsa, takes us through a tour of Zurich to see her favourite places. After a quick breakfast of croissants and coffee at the local cafe, the first stop is Rieterpark, Zurich’s largest park that  was a center of the city’s show of wealth and glamour in the most affluent years of the 19th century. Filled with beautiful landscaped gardens, old trees and rare flowers, it still remains a wonderful oasis today and the perfect place to escape.

Afterwards, we take a sneak peak inside the incredibly extravagant and ornate Tonhalle, one of Zurich’s most cherished concert halls. The Tonhalle which was built in 1895 is believed to have one of the best acoustics, it was inaugurated none other than Johannes brahms himself and is capable of seating 1,455 guests.

Driving along in the luxury Porsche 718 Boxster we then stop for lunch at Teecafé Schwarzenbach. Located in the heart of the Old Town, this small but very welcoming cafe offers a peaceful calm, where you are quietly left to get some work done a snuggle up with a good book. The highlight of Teecafe Schwarzenbach is the great variety of tea and coffee that is available along with a highly tempting selection of cakes and sweet smelling baked goods.

In the afternoon we swing the Porsche through Zurich stopping off at places like limited stock, a boutique shop that offers a charming selection of pretty home decoration items, we take a swim in Lake Zimmat and then finally bring in the evening at Zukunft one of the hottest nightclubs in the city.

Throughout a journey through Zurich the luxury Porsche 718 Boxster lived up to the occasion perfectly. Whilst designed as a roadster, and indeed it delivers an impeccably smooth and dynamic drive, it is still a surprisingly powerful car with its 2.7 liter direct injection mid engine. The best of convertible open top driving the Porsche 718 Boxster in Zurich will get you addicted to the many joys of life.
