While Dublin may attract the international jet set crowd with its charismatic culture, raucous pubs and haunted castles, the truth is, there really is a heap of things to do in the green island’s capital.
Rent a Luxury car in Dublin to visit sites such as the Chester beatty Library, that contains a deep and wide selection of ancient books and manuscripts, the grand Christ Church Cathedral or the Dublin Castle.
Get behind the wheel of the Ferrari 458 Spider and visit the popular landmark site of the Dublin Castle. Situated in the historic heart of Dublin, the city in fact gets its name from 'Dubh Linn' which means the Black Pool - it was originally on the site of the present Castle garden.
Up until 1922 the Dublin Castle represented the British government’s rule and administration in Ireland, but since it becoming a republic it is now a major complex dedicated to the Irish government. Another great location to visit is the Dublin Writer’s museum.
Rent the Porsche 911 Carrera S4 Cabriolet and drive over to Parnell Square where you will find this pretty 18th century home. Inside, the museum is dedicated to the greats of Irish literature including Shaw, Pearse and Joyce, detailing the course of their individual lives along with their literary contributions.
Of course equally at the heart of Dublin culture is the landmark site of St Patrick’s Cathedral. Founded in 1191, it is the largest church in Ireland and exceptionally grand and until today it is still used for public national ceremonies. Most notably is the annual Remembrance Day ceremony which is hosted by the Royal British Legion and attended by the President of Ireland every November. For Christmas the Cathedral is also used as the location for the city’s carol service, it is a popular event in Dublin life and always attended in the thousands by the local crowds.
