My teachers always warned me about making generalisations, but now I’m going to break the rule, because this is a generalisation that is all too true to deny: The Spanish LOVE their festivals. Hire an Audi in Spain, the perfect luxury sedan to get into the thriving beat of what these festivals have to offer.
Only coming around once a year, which honestly isn’t often enough, hire the Audi A5 coupé to attend La Tomatina. La Tomatina has to top the list of the most extreme fun festivals, it is basically a huge city wide tomato fight, where you better be prepared to get sloshed, mushed and smothered in red juicy tomato sauce as you engage in the battle. The event occurs annually during the last wednesday of August, in the otherwise unknown little village of Bunol, near Valencia.
Yet how did this event become so widely popular, you ask? Legend has it that back in 1945 several young lads were trying to squeeze themselves into a place among the retinue of parade goers during the town festival. During all the push and shoving one of the boys fell down, he was so mad, he lost his cool completely and started smashing everything up around him. A nearby vegetable stall fell victim to the fury of the lad, that eventually engulfed the entire crowd as people started to pelt each other with the bountiful supply of nearby tomatoes. Yet just because the festival might be a tad gross doesn’t means you can’t arrive in comfort. Hire the Audi A5 Coupé to arrive in Bunol, the stylish two-door compact executive sedan combines power, luxury and design with a 2.0 TFSI direct-injection engine.
Another festival that tops the list is the Málaga August Fair, that hosts some outrageous flamenco dancing and there is much sherry drinking as the crowds watch the bullfights go wild. If for no other reason hire the Audi Q5 to see the crowds go crazy. There is a buzz in the atmosphere that’s contagious, and one that we fully recommend getting intoxicated on!
