Land A’hoy!

With a rich and dramatic history as a military naval base, Toulon is most certainly worth a visit,  explore its old town or vieille ville, the centuries old harbour where naval vessels have docked for centuries. Travel through the old town’s maze of intricate narrow streets that eventually join up to the wide promenades of Algiers and Lafayette.

Throughout this trail you will find plenty of shops ranging wonderfully in their offerings be it fashion boutiques, antique furniture or hand made chocolates and treats. Hire a luxury car in Toulon and let the spell commence its wander.

Rent the prestigious Bentley Continental and in an exquisite limousine drive, visit the harbour and its promenade. This part of Toulon still holds much of its old world character, it shares the warmth that can be felt amongst the people of old Provence and their distinct accents. See the wooden boats swaying in the calm seas.

Make sure to go window shopping as there are a few quaint little souvenir shops, where you can buy a few trinkets or two to remember the moment. Take a moment’s break as you stop for a cafe latte and a croissant at one of the coffee shops or you may want to take the moment to have a delicious sea food lunch at one of the restaurants that are sweetly tucked into the promenade strip.

Another day’s outing could include having the Rolls Royce Ghost delivered to your hotel in the city of Toulon so that you can then set off for a day trip in true comfort and style to visit Place Puget. Also located in the historic quarter of Toulon, Place Puget represents the oldest quarter in town and indeed it has its history go back to ancient times. The area is beautifully characterised by a central fountain that was built in 1780, it is sculptured into three dolphins that are completely covered in ivy. Taking time to enjoy the ambience that can be felt here as you sit down to relax under the shade that it offers.

If arriving with your family or a few close friends you may want to consider hiring the high performance and exceptionally comfortable Range Rover Autobiography. With this superb SUV take a drive through Toulon visiting iconic areas such as Louis Blanc Place that has the grand baroque style Saint F François de Paule church at its center, see the Tour de l'horloge, a monumental clock that marks the entry to the harbour at the south end of Cours Lafayette.

Toulon really is an exceptionally lovely place with a gorgeous climate and exceptional views, all you need to make sure is that you have the right luxury car that will measure up to the occasion.
